Integrated Master's Degree Program
This program allows successful MAKÜ students to be included in the master's process while continuing their undergraduate education, enabling them to gain time and make their academic planning early.
1. What Are the Application Requirements?
To apply for the program, students must meet the following criteria:
• Must have successfully completed the first 6 semesters in 4-year (8 semester) programs, and the first 8 semesters in 5-year (10 semester) programs.
• Must have at least a 3.00 GPA at the time of application and have passed all courses up to that semester.
• Must not have received any disciplinary penalties.
• You can only apply to thesis master's programs designated for the undergraduate program you are registered in.
2. Evaluation and Quota
• Placements are made starting from the highest scoring student based on GPA (undergraduate grade point average).
• In case of equality, the ÖSYM placement score is considered, and if that is also equal, the average of the relevant undergraduate courses is looked at.
• Quotas are determined not to exceed 20% of the quota of the relevant graduate program.
3. Implementation of the Program and Courses
• Course Load: A student accepted into the program can enroll in at least one and at most two graduate courses each semester.
• Grade Average: These courses appear as non-credit on the undergraduate transcript and do not count towards the undergraduate overall average.
• Advising: Until the master's process begins, your academic advising is conducted by the head of the relevant department.
• Important Restrictions: Courses within the undergraduate scope cannot be counted as master's courses, and courses taken in the master's program cannot be counted as undergraduate courses. Additionally, integrated program students cannot enroll in doctoral courses.
4. Final Registration for Master's Program After Graduation
To continue your master's education without interruption after graduation:
• You must complete your undergraduate education within the normal duration.
• Your overall grade point average after graduation must be at least 3.00, and you must meet the ALES and foreign language conditions for the period you are applying for.
• Students who meet these conditions are accepted into the program outside of the announced general quota, and the courses they have previously passed are directly recorded on their transcripts.
5. Withdrawal from the Program
Students who wish to withdraw from the program voluntarily can do so by applying to the Institute Directorate with a reasoned petition.
